It is an investigation on Amitav Ghosh´s fictions and non-fictions in the light of eco-criticism and New historicistic approach. It surveys Ghosh´s engagement with global environmental degradation.The work finally concludes that the novelist depicts global historical episodes with the histories suppressed , lost and marginalized. Amitav Ghosh creates his fictional narratives and non-fictional works with research vein.
