This book intend to deliver that the role of TENS and Stretching have already made a mark and has been found effective in reducing spasticity. This study is intended to ascertain the effectiveness of TENS and Passive Stretching on reducing spasticity in plantar flexors on patient with hemiplegia. The combined therapeutic treatment of TENS and Passive Stretching was found to be equally effective in reducing spasticity and making the rehabilitation of the patients to a higher level of outcome in improving the gait and functional status of the affected hemiplegic patients.

Dr.Karthikeyan has completed his PhD at the age of 35 years from Ramakrishna mission Vivekananda University,coimbatore and postdoctoral studies completed from Tumkur University, Tumkur, Karnataka, India . He is presently working as a clinician cum researcher at Physiotherapy center at NIMHANS, Bangalore, India. He has published more than 55 papers.
