Man´s physical environment is littered with so many manmade structures which are usually ordered by regulations and some form of control whose overall objective is to maintain a sequence that would ensure that structures are cited with regard to a bigger plan. Building structures are meant to provide shelter as a result of which they are usually exposed to varying weather and climate changes some of which are detrimental to building structures. Scientific measurements have shown that the earth is getting warmer gradually and this had led to deviations in climactic conditions. This book pursues five broad objectives namely: to assess the effects of climate change on building structures, to investigate the relationship between climate change and existing legislation relating to building development, to assess the measures which can help to reduce the impact of climate change on buildings, to determine if available information regarding effects of climate change is well disseminated and to determine the suitability of staff expected to enforce building control. Data was sourced from the 3 senatorial zones of Anambra State and analysed using appropriate statistical tools.
