Due to certain spillover effects, the importance of foreign direct investment in developing economies has increased significantly in the last decades. As a consequence, the biggest and most influential emerging markets Brazil, Russia, India and China have shown a considerably high interest in international investors. Hence, government policies and other incentives try to influence the type and amount of foreign investment flows coming into their country. Recently, the factors economic policy uncertainty and effective annual taxation have been globally discussed and criticized. Therefore, this book shows a comprehensive understanding of the main determinants that affect foreign direct investment and provides an empirical study on the factors economic policy uncertainty and effective annual taxation.
