Seit über 25 Jahren schon erfreuen die satirischen Geschichten aus der Discworld den geneigten Leser. Pratchetts Romane, in 37 Sprachen übersetzt, haben weltweit ihre treue Fangemeinde. Nun liegt der 37. Band aus dieser Serie vor. Es handelt sich um einen Mordfall im Fußballmilieu von Ankh-Morpork. Im Jahre 2008 erhielt der Autor von der Queen den Ritterschlag für seine Dienste an der Literatur und darf sich seitdem Sir Terry Pratchett nennen.

Terry Pratchett was the acclaimed creator of the global bestselling Discworld series, the first of which, The Colour of Magic, was published in 1983. In all, he was the author of over fifty bestselling books. His novels have been widely adapted for stage and screen, and he was the winner of multiple prizes, including the Carnegie Medal, as well as being awarded a knighthood for services to literature. He died in March 2015.
