Reflective teaching is perennial and has become very popular world-wide. This world-wide popularity has resulted in an abundance of literature on the practice. A careful review of literary sources points out the benefits and challenges experienced by teachers and schools employing the practice. There is however, very little writing on reflective teaching in the Caribbean region of the world and particularly, the Cayman Islands. This book, therefore, provides information which adds to the body of knowledge on reflective teaching from that region and country. Phillips and Pugh (1994) refer to this occurrence as an original contribution. The book is aimed at encouraging student teachers, teachers in-service and anyone with a general interest in reflective teaching, to consider and use elements of reflective teaching in their practice. It is also a useful reference for lecturers teaching courses in reflective teaching.

Dr. Minott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at the University College of the Cayman Islands. He has published a number of books and an eclectic array of articles which apprear in various international peer review Journals.
