The early stages of development of an exciting new urban form an area: suburbs. They combined the amenities of the city with the low density of the countryside a place that brought together the best of worlds. Although, suburbanization has been viewed as the solution to the cause of urban problems, the process was redefined as a problem itself. Here, the questions to be posed within the framework of this book is, "how far people living in suburbian mass housing are satisfied with their social environment?" This book offers an analyse qualitative values of social environment of suburban residential areas which develop as an outcome of the urban growth. This analysis is preceded by a general discussion of the suburbanization process and the characteristics of suburban settlements in Turkey. This book will be of interest to students and researchers in suburban sprawl and social environment quality of mass-housing areas.
