One of the major challenges of education in developing countries is the shortage of qualified teaching force at all levels of education. This problem continues to be much more severe at a time when these countries are trying to enhance the access and quality of education from primary to higher education. In-service teacher education programs are therefore, taken as a means to train and enhance the qualification of the under qualified and untrained teaching force in many developing countries. Ethiopia, a country where the education sector is struggling with shortage of qualified and well trained teaching force at all level, also using in- service teacher education as a means to curb this problem since 1958. This book, hence, presents a qualitative study of the trainees and teachers educators perception about the relevance and mode of professional courses in the current secondary in-service teacher education in Ethiopia. This book will, therefore, be useful for researchers, students and other professionals in the field of teacher education.
