This book is a comparative collection of studies intersecting politics, technology, and media studies through the eyes of experiential education. It introduces one to firsthand experiences working in the US capital, Washington DC, the retail industry, and interning and becoming involved in film production, while analyzing the significance of this type of applied learning research. Perhaps one can be inspired by these varied journeys of several important career experiences while in graduate school. One may develop ideas of how to transition one´s education towards the job market. Interning while in school opens many doors to future employment, while building one´s resume and gaining access to greater and greater work opportunities in exciting places, such as in higher education and the emerging health care and technology sectors. Politics, technology, and media studies can equally lead one to more fully appreciate how interdisciplinary these and other academic fields are becoming in our present society. This book is not just a lesson in workplace experiences, but examines critical issues with one´s academic training in mind, merging applied field knowledge with one´s education.
