The contact between Islam and Christianity is characterized by mistrust, competition in seeking and defending their followers, and even hatred to one another. The relation tends to be polemical, apologetically, antithetical and rivalry. Many disturbances between the two religious were a result of the traditional theology presuppositions that Christians held regarding other religions. A relevant theological method of contextual theology that has capacity to respond meaningfully to the gospel for transforming interreligious relations is described in this book.
