Physio and occupational therapists undertake screening of children for developmental delays in pre-school or in-schooling programs. In this screening process the Supine Flexion Test is relevant as a single screening item. Furthermore it is relevant to use the SFT as a supplement to the Movement ABC, when the therapist estimates the joint and muscular conditions, when testing the child for Developmental Co-ordination Disorder. In the present study The Supine Flexion Test is found to be an applicable test for younger children. A multi-memory stopwatch provides valid and reliable measurements. Digital recorded moving images are useful in order to examine movement strategies and supply the time-measurements with important qualitative information. This study suggests cut-off values.
