The book shows the pattern and functions of Lexical choices in political speeches of the military rulers in Nigeria. It equally exploits discourse strategies employed by military political rulers to persuade the governed in order to acquire power and to sustain it. It also throws further light on the interconnecting relationships of words and military political ideologies. The book thus provides a firm basis for the understanding of the language of military politics and politics in general in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
