The study of pharmacokinetics involves both experimental and theoretical approaches. The experimental aspect of pharmacokinetics involves the development of biologic sampling techniques, analytical methods for the measurement of drugs. The theoretical aspect of pharmacokinetics involves the development of pharmacokinetic models that predict drug disposition after drug administration. Pharmacokinetic studies are important to design the appropriate dosage regimen but it may be different from species to species and under local environmental conditions. Amoxicillin is frequently used in Pakistan to treat various type of infections. Keeping in view the vast usage of this antibiotic and the importance of pharmacokinetics in the Clinical Pharmacology, pharmacokinetic parameters of Long acting Amoxicillins in Buffalo Calves in Pakistan were described in this Book. Dr. Muhammad Adil Rasheed obtained his M. Phil degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology in 2009 from UVAS, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Adil joined the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, UVAS, Lahore as Lecturer in 2003. Currently he is Assistant Professor in the same Department. He has established a chromatography Lab. in the Department.
