Kazakhstan has vast endowment of natural resources and it is historically associated with soviet model of development. Therefore, Industrialization is necessary to achieve high rate of economic growth, and to provide the basic needs to the people. The book is an overview on industrial development of Kazakhstan in a broader parlance. Different aspects of the Kazakh industries are being discussed by taking historic industrial development in pre-soviet and post-soviet periods. The Process of Industrialization, a review of the various models of economic development and it s applicability to Kazakhstan economy is considered. The industrial development, Post-Soviet Economic Transformation, industrial structures, and industrial policies for Kazakhstan´s development are well taken. The study discusses on the role of international financial agencies and the ownership structure for industries, the relevance of the different sectors by highlighting the problems and prospects of the industry. It examines the results of Industrialization in Kazakhstan in the post-independent era and its impact on industrial output and economic indicators like: employment, trade and environment.
The author is an Asst.prof in SPIESR. He is M.A M.Phil, & Ph.D from J.N.U, New Delhi. He has co-authored a book, 15 international and national published works are in his credit. He has presented papers in more than 14 international and national seminars and has wider experience of international visits including Kazakhstan for his academic purposes.
