Saved by Observation introduces observation as a vital tool for assessment as well as for the growth of teacher as a professional. Unfortunately, teachers postpone or dislike observing children. They see it as a burden. This book helps teachers see child observation from different perspective. They are introduced to the skills of observation as a medium for alleviating their daily loads in the roles they adopt in the classroom. The teachers in the study liked observation and decided to adopt its techniques among their daily practices. It helped them in building stronger relationships with their children in the classroom. Observation also assisted them in helping the children adjust socially. These teachers found observation helpful for assessment and for connecting better with families. In a nut-shell; observation for them was the "magic wind" that transformed the small community in each of their classrooms.
