These days the analysis of the needs of all stakeholders, though it has always not been practiced, is believed to be vital in producing relevant and quality English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course materials. The reason is that needs analysis helps teachers of the English language, researchers, and syllabus designers identify who the users and learners of the language are, what kind of language skills and learning needs the learners prefer, and what the target situation and learning environment looks like when these experts make a study through employing appropriate methods. This book, which is a thorough and critical study on determining the English language needs of the undergraduate students of the Dryland Agriculture at Mekelle University, Ethiopia, enables English language course designers to prepare appropriate materials for the students in the field.
