Like other parts of Bangladesh, at Khulna, women participation is increasing both in public sector as well as NGOs. This working group may suffer stress depending on overall working conditions. Impact of stress on women is different than that of men and depends on the psychological and emotional response of individuals. ´Health and Safety Executive´ has identified six causes of job stress that affect these employees. From analysis it is tried to identify the root cause of job stress, barriers faced by women workers at NGOs around Khulna city; both in the field and desk job. The focus was to pin point the reason of job stress, problems associated with socio- cultural, religion, occupational and family are being in to the consideration during the analysis. In NGOs women participation is 42.58% and 72% of the respondents working in field; this working group is comparatively more stressed and has to face noticeable obstacles and occupational hazards which they are forced to withstand. Efforts have been taken to explore the associated dynamicity of stress that will be supportive for Physical Planning, facilitating the services for gender responsive issues.
