The main purpose of this study was to examine the extent of success so far achieved by Kenyan high schools in the implementation of computer studies. The sample population was drawn from high schools in Nairobi province. The study focused on students, teachers and school administrators. Lack of resources and consistent involvement of stakeholders impedes the implementation of computer studies in Kenyan high schools. Results from the survey indicate that computer studies as a subject is expensive to manage compared to other subjects. Due to the high cost of managing computer studies, less than 10% of students in high schools in Nairobi province are currently enrolled to study computers, and less than 30% 0f implementation of computer studies has so far been achieved.

She holds a diploma in information technology and a bachelor of education degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya. Risper has authored a book for children titled "Computers for Young Children".
