This book discusses how small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) working in processing the natural stone sector in Jordan located in the factor-driven stage can move to the innovation-driven stage. In particular, the study discusses how developed, in comparison with Turkey and Italy, are the factor conditions, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, and the five forces in comparison with Turkey and Italy. Furthermore, it discusses the influence of the generic strategies and the impact of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) on the competitiveness of these SMEs.

Dr. Suhail Sami Sultan was born in 1972 in Palestine. In 2007 he obtained his Ph.D. from the UNU-MERIT, Maastricht University, Netherlands. Nowadays, Dr. Sultan is working at Palestine Polytechnic University and running a management consulting firm.
