To fight the existing severe poverty and tackle the problems of food security the Government of Ethiopia has designed and implement the Integrated Rural Agricultural Extension Intervention Programme. This intervention has many options for technology adoption linked with skill training and management as well as technology input supplies and credit services focusing on specialization based diversification. Transfer of knowledge and technology to the rural farmers to adopt different technologies was vital. Therefore, this book is looking at its contribution in increasing households´ income and poverty reduction. The book discovers how the packages enabled the rural community entitled for asset building, savings, consumption expenditures and better services on health and education. The book envisages achievements and best practices as well as challenges and constraints. The econometric model analysis is indicating participation in the packages was affiliated with politics of the ruling party.
