Anthropometry is the scientific study of measurements of human body. The knowledge of anthropometry is being used extensively in Physical Education, Physical Anthropology, Sports Sciences, Auxiology, Human Biology, Home Sciences, Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine and many other allied fields. The present volume provides important research findings of anthropometric profiles of Indian athletes. It contains six chapters dealing with the anthropometric profiles of Indian basketball, volleyball, cricket and mallakhamb players. The data presented in the volume carry immense practical application and may be useful in future investigation on player selection, talent identification and training program development in various sports events. Dr. Shyamal Koley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India.He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Physical Anthropology. He has 14 years of teaching experience with 130 research publications in journals of national and international repute.
