Commendable efforts have been made in Ethiopia during the last few years both by private and public sectors, however, adequate attention has not given to identify and address the psychosocial problems of AIDS orphans. If psychosocial problems of AIDS orphans get attention, it would have been ensured that their needs are met and the available resources would properly utilized. In addition the essential behavioural change would have been obtained and other strategies that would bring improved services delivery program have been enhanced. This book, therefore, can be helpful to investigate and analize the psychosocial impact of HIV/AIDS on orphaned children, provides data useful to develop programs that aim at meeting the psychosocial needs of HIV/AIDS orphans, explores and suggests appropriate intervention to address problems of HIV/AIDS orphans and it initiates further studies and enlarges the knowledge repertoire on the issue under investigation.
