The purpose of this project is to analyse the problems, characteristics, capabilities and requirement of the small and medium enterprises and how the information systems can help them to improve their performance and to integrate their operations. How they can enhance their dominance in the supply chain and market, increasing their profits and reducing their costs. Furthermore, applications of supply chain management system analysed describing the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Afterwards, the research process involved quantitative analysis with the use of questionnaires which distributed to several firms and qualitative analysis with several interviews. According to this, from the quantitative analysis were drew up statistical conclusions and assumptions and from the qualitative analysis with the interviews were created suitable case studies in which the problems where investigated in more depth. Finally, was drew up recommendations in terms of the type of processes, the links with the other supply chain participants and the data exchange and how the supply chain management applications affect and can improve these operations.
Has a background in Financial Management with honors in Business Systems. He currently works as Corporate Credit Analyst in the Bank Sector.
