This work is focused on a development of a novel analytical set-up for element specific, spatial- and time-resolved in situ analysis of local corrosion processes. The novel technique is based on the online coupling of a microflow-capillary system to an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) using online flow injection (FI) sample introduction. Additionally, a three electrode set-up with electrochemical control is adapted to the microflow-capillary FI-ICP-MS setup for simultaneous chemical and electrochemical characterization of corrosion processes.
Dr. Nadzeya Homazava, born 1982 in Minsk, Belarus, received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Bern, Switzerland in 2009. Her main scientific interests lie in the area of trace and ultra-trace analytical chemistry.
