Slippage is common in most projects more so, in Water Resources and Infrastructure projects. Project slippage is also more frequent in developing countries like India as compared to the developed world. The author has done substantial work in India and overseas trying to find workable solutions to this chronic problem and achieved considerable success. The author´s long hands on experience with special emphasis on innovative methodologies have been fruitfully utilised in the present work. Two approaches namely, a completely new methodology and, substantial improvement on well known methods to derive better result have been considered. After careful considerations the second approach has been adopted keeping in view expert opinion on the subject over the last fifty years. The author has substantiated his research findings with six real life projects in the developing world executed by him in responsible charge. Two of these projects are in Venezuela and Libya and, the other four are in different regions of India. The book outlines some limitations of the present research work and suggests scope for further study and research in the related areas.
His career included 45 Years of service in engineering and 5 years in research and teaching in Management and Engineering. He has about 60 technical publications in national and international journals and seminars.
