Managers of NGOs strive to perform their activities in a manner that will achieve their corporate goals. In order to increase their impact at community level, managers need to design a robust strategy so as to proactively respond to the changes in the environment. One of the key strategies that have proved to be successful is to involve the beneficiaries of development interventions in all the steps of the project life cycle. This implies that beneficiaries participate in the process of making decisions of the intervention that is needed, its design, implementation, monitoring, review, evaluation and reporting. In many counties, NGOs use different participatory methodologies. This book looks at one particular case of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God, a Christian organization based In Uganda which has developed a participatory methodology called Participatory Evaluation Process. The research assesses the contribution of this methodology to the development of Uganda. This book will attract the interest of the development practitioners in the public and private sectors.
