This book dealt with divorce in Mathare slums, Kenya. In this, the author described the deplorable condition of the divorced person by citing the causes and effects of divorce to someone. The study considered the discussions and interviews of the different people and scholars on problems divorced people confront. Broad explanations of major concepts used in the research were done. Their contribution helped the author to know the various views different people and scholars all over the globe hold concerning the challenges divorce people face.

Rev. Johnson Wambua was born in Makueni District in Eastern Kenya. He was educated in Kathonzweni Secondary School and Kabarnet High School both schools in Kenya. He was trained as a pastor at Scott Christian University, Machakos, Kenya and obtained bachelors of theology; 2000.Johnson is an ordained minister of Africa Inland Church Kenya.
