This book is aim at molecular mapping and identification of QTLs for stay green and other related traits in sorghum. Stay-green makes plant resist to premature senescence, retain green leaf area, fill grain normally, and resist lodging under conditions of post- flowering drought stress. Molecular mapping of these traits help for markers assisted selection in developing improved varieties within short period of time. The author attempted to map and investigate chromosomal region harboring gene for drought tolerance traits in sorghum. The first part of the book provides conceptual background of sorghum in relation to drought. The second and third section of the book is devoted for theoretical frame work of stay green, when moisture deficit is limiting factor for sorghum production. The fourth section is concerned with methodological approaches of gene mapping and QTL identification of drought tolerant trait in sorghum. The fifth section presented the main theme of the book. The author believes that this book provides imperative knowledge for researchers, students, and any interested body in molecular plant breeding
