The fisheries of groupers have declined world wide mainly due to fishing pressure on coral reef fishes. Although data on groupers biology are important for management of fisheries, such data are lacking for coastal Kenya. This book therefore aims at providing biological information on groupers from south coast Kenya. The biology of groupers provides a concise easy to read introduction for anyone in the field of fisheries biology and ecology. It will be ideal for undergraduate and graduate students as well as professional researchers in the field of fisheries and aquatic ecology requiring a concise overview of the topic.
