In order to tackle the food insecurity problem, the governments of Ethiopia have undertaken the state sponsored resettlement program during different regimes ( Imperial, Derg and EPRDF).Though the main objective during the three different regimes was to graduate people from food insecurity problems, the program was not successfully helped the entire households who have been relocated in new areas. In this regard,this book has deeply analyzed why the resettlement program during EPRDF confronted a challenge by indicating other important strategies/interventions to be integrated with resettlement program but overlooked by policy makers in the country. In addition, it deeply addressed the current food security situation of people in resettlement areas and the interventions of government during EPRDF.Thus, this book will benefit all readers ( academicians, policy makers, researchers, students, etc) to know how it is possible to sustain food security to households through resettlement program.
