This book has been written for general readership but more specifically for policy makers,curriculum developers and teachers concerned with Environmental Education in Teacher Training Institutions and schools. This book is useful in guiding efforts to reinforce initiatives for the implementation of Environmental Education It discusses worldwide efforts to increase environmental conservation awareness.The author stresses the importance of headteachers´ role in instructional leadership by interpreting syllabus objectives with teachers, provision of learning resources, supervision of pedagogical methods and appropriate classroom practices,collaboration and creation of conducive learning conditions and role modelling.
