Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of the important bulb vegetables, which is used as spice and flavoring agent for foods and as medicinal plant. It is produced throughout the world including Ethiopia. There are many viruses infecting garlic plant. A significant reduction in yield and quality due to virus infection is now a serious economic problem in many countries including Ethiopia. To control viral diseases the status of the disease should be surveyed and the types of viruses infecting garlic should be identified.This document explains the status of garlic viral diseases and the types of viruses infecting garlic plant in Ethiopia. The book also enlightens the distribution of the different viruses infecting garlic plant in different regions of Ethiopia. The book is the first to report about viruses infecting garlic in Ethiopia. No any report about viruses infecting garlic plant in Ethiopia before.Mr.Kero Jemal completed his undergraduate study (BSc) in biology in 2005 and graduate study (MSc) in Biotechnology in 2010 at Addis Ababa University.He has many years experience in teaching and he is participating in researches.
