Conflict is inevitable. How one perceives conflict or rather the attitude to a conflict situation determines the behaviour of the individuals involved. Is conflict fight or flight or/and communication and growth? This manual addresses what conflict is; the different types of conflict; conflict resolution competencies and strategies, principles of team building and introduces an original five steps process of conflict resolution called the 5 A´s of Conflict Resolution. It also addresses some unique conflict situations that cause a state of ethical dilemmas and duress for nurses.
