The science of environment is a dynamic and an emerging discipline, which is gaining importance by every passing day. It is the interaction between man and natural resources and deals with the challenges that humanity faces. Mathematical Models are the principle tool for predicting and analyzing the response of the climate. In this study air pollution Box Model is applied to predict the concentration of ambient air pollutants and differentiate between vehicular emission and other sources. The study covers the main sources of air pollution with special reference to the local terrain, the spatial distribution and rate of emission and their effect on air pollution level. The comprehensive discussion of the need for sensitivity towards the air pollution in the context of sustainable development is unique in this study. The contents of the study will be beneficial to educationists, planners, researchers and policy makers. Furthermore the modeling results may provide significant value bases for decision-makers to carry out effective air pollution control and environmental management plans
Safdar Shah Khan (Assistant Professor & Ph.D Scholar), A Physicist and Environmentalist. His field of interest include Air Pollution, E- waste Management and Noise Pollution. Beside educationalist he is also a social worker and social mobilizer.
