Stevans posts but others from his life posts about and sometimes to him. His beginnings appear humble but his life turns on a dime at the age of 14 when he witnesses his Mothers murder. Follow his journey from boy to Folk Hero to a man just trying to figure out the strange circumstances that surround his life. Never did he imagine that some day the fate of a generation would rest on his shoulders I never asked to be a hero. Nor did I ask to be born this way. However, I can´t change the road I am walking now. Some paths must be taken to mold you into the person you were meant to be. I know that now. Still, it does not define me, or guide my actions. Normal was never an option. I am L.J. Stevans and I am incapable of telling a lie.

David VanCura was born in Chicago, IL. on May 21 1983.He joined the U.S. Army in July of 2001. He served two tours in Iraq and was Medically Retired from injuries suffered during his enlistment after nine years of service on Feb. 23, 2010. He currently resides in Germany with his wife Melanie and their daughter Alisha.
