Baseis ist ein Lehrgang, der in 16 Schritten mit je 10 Seiten zielorientiert und mit vielfältigen Übungen die Elementargrammatik, die notwendige Fachterminologie sowie das Handwerkszeug der Texterschließung vermittelt. Der parallele Gebrauch von Grammatik und Lexikon wird vorausgesetzt.
Baseis is a series of exercises in 16 steps with 10 pages each. It contains many individual exercises for basic Greek grammar, together with the necessary special terminology and the tools for reading and interpreting texts. The volume assumes the parallel use of a grammar and a dictionary.Baseis combines formal, linguistic and text aspects of classical Greek, the objective being the successful completion of Greek school exams. The first text employed is that of Plato´s "Apology," which is intensively studied from the first page on and supports independent exegesis of the text on the part of the student. Only original Greek texts are used.Baseis is also appropriate for university courses, workgroups at the secondary-school level and for self-learning. The accompanying booklet contains the original Greek and the German translation of the "Apology" and offers additional help in translating the reading texts as well as further general information.
