Revision with unchanged content. Organizations worldwide cannot escape crises. Crises effect more than produ ctivity, they often profoundly impact people s lives. In an age of quanti fication, measuring the extent to which humans are impacted during crises is paramount. This present study delivers an argument for brief and pragmatic organizational crisis assessment instruments. Furthermore, a specific instru ment s (the TAS:O) psychometric properties are evaluated. The results indicate that pragmatic instruments evaluating the human impact of crises are pos sible, and cutting edge research demonstrates that highly valid and reliable organizational assessment surveys are likely to be a staple of future organiza tional crisis management.
