The aim of this research is to determine the impact of local events on the travel motivation of South German ski and snowboard instructors. It outlines the existing literature about Events and Motivation and dis cusses the existing research paradigm and data collecting methods. A hypothesis was worked out by the researcher and a questionnaire was sent to South German ski and snowboard instructors to examine the influence of events on the decision making process and to identify the change of travel motivation by events.
