Audrey in Rome offers a revealing portrait of the star´s life in the Eternal City as she truly lived it for more than two decades. This collection is a rare treat for Audrey fans, for thumbing through its pages is like having Hepburn´s family scrapbook in hand. Here´s Audrey strolling with a good friend on the city streets, shopping for flowers or stationery, eating breakfast on the Piazza Navona, or walking her Yorkie, Mr. Famous. Throughout the book, commentary by stylist Sciascia Gambaccini sheds light on her glamorous clothes and accessories-from the little black dress and straw handbag to the ballet flats-that comprised Audrey´s distinctive, elegant, and still much-imitated look. Candid on-set photographs taken during the filming of movies made during that era, such as Roman Holiday, War and Peace, The Nun´s Story, and Breakfast at Tiffany´s are included as well.
During the twenty years that she lived in Rome, Audrey Hepburn-legendary actress, fashion icon, and humanitarian-was the epitome of chic European style, from her little black dresses to her ballet flats. Her partnership with designer Hubert de Givenchy resulted in some of the most memorable and timeless looks on film.

Audrey in Rome is a gorgeous coffee table book that includes almost 200 candid photographs of the movie star--many of which have never been published before. These rare snapshots give us glimpses into the everyday life of the gamine star of such classic films as Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany´s, Sabrina.

Edited by her son, Luca Dotti, and Ludovica Damiani, film and theater writer and producer, and with text by fashion director and stylist Sciascia Gambaccini, Audrey in Rome is as personal as having Audrey Hepburn´s family scrapbook in your hands.
Luca Dotti is the son of Audrey Hepburn and Italian psychiatrist, Professor Andrea Dotti. Luca is a former graphic designer and now chairs the Audrey Hepburn´s Children´s Fund. Created by Audrey´s family in 1994, the Fund helps children in need around the world. Dotti lives in Rome with his wife and three children.

Ludovica Damiani works and writes for cinema and theater. From 2003 to 2006 she was assistant director of the press office at the Venice Film Festival. She is currently the communications and project-development manager for the Rome-based film production company, Wildside.
