Die runden, mit Felsen überzogenen Höhenzüge des Teutoburger Waldes werden umrahmt von der Weite der Parklandschaft im Süden und von ausgedehnten Mooren und Feuchtgebieten im Norden. Ein Dutzend Fotografen stellt hier die bekannten und weniger bekannten Seiten der Region in eindrucksvollen Bildern dar. Fünf Texte befassen sich prägnant mit Raum, Geschichte, Natur, Landwirtschaft und Handel, aber auch mit Bergbau und Industrie.
