PERCEPTION and MONITORING of our own body, not the perfectly performed asana, is the core. These two factors are the most important for a dancer and no dancing technique can substitute them. This is where I see the biggest benefit and unsubstitutability of yoga in dancing environment. Least but not last is definitely DISCIPLINE which yoga requires and is later beneficial in the dancer´s working process. This aspect is not granted and presumes a concentrated and conscious preparation based on self monitoring and perception of our own body as a working tool and its needs. I truly believe this work will enable to intermediate certain view on the topic - Yoga in the context of a dance - not only to laics, but even specialists might find it interesting. It is a reflection of many years of my experience and results of my research which made me enter the studies.
