This book addresses the nature of corruption in Kenya.Corruption is one of the biggest impediments towards entrenching good governance, attaining Millennium Development Goals and Kenya s Vision 2030.Even though the country is reforming its governance institutions, corruption still haunts all government institutions especially in electoral processes and delivery of services to citizens. Tribalism which is one of the most prevalent ways in which corruption manifests itself in the country is a dragon that no political leader is willing to slay. Tribalism has brought with it a dishonest political leadership that lacks the integrity to govern. Money is a ticket to political power since those with the most finances bribe the electorate most and thus stand a higher chance of being elected and/or re-elected. Legislators in Kenya and a myriad of political leaders have been mentioned in drug smuggling and vicious cycles of financial scandals which more than often take a tribal dimension. This could be a pointer that money no matter how one got it can buy power and respect . Who will rescue Kenya from this apathy? Chinua Achebe once said that THERE IS NO STORY THAT IS NOT TRUE
