The aim of the book is to disseminate research findings and ideas on international trade and economic development issues. This book contains nine chapters contributed by authors specializing in international trade and development economics. The areas covered includes non-tariff barriers, export-led growth hypothesis, regional trade agreements, intra-industry trade, education, poverty, income inequality, and determinants of entry in banking sector.

Shivee Ranjanee Kaliappan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. She completed her PhD (Economics) at International Islamic University of Malaysia. Her research interests lie in the area of international trade covering services trade, services foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic integration.
