This book starts with a historical outlook. It discusses previous shootings that have taken place on post-secondary campuses, how violence originated, and how it was introduced to the American Culture. In addition, the author examined the legalities and regulations ( Clery Act ) when it comes to reporting crimes that takes place on post-secondary campuses, and how these reporting regulations affect the campus, surrounding communities, stakeholders, and the decision making process. The latter part of the book, evaluated how post-secondary leaders are currently responding to violence at their respective institutions, and how these decisions are affecting the overall relationships between stakeholders and post-secondary leaders, community members and post-secondary leaders, and the campus community as a whole.
