This book aimed to provide the information to the scientists and researchers for further research exploration, scientific cultural and management aspect because a little information is available in literature regarding ecological study of breeding biology of Labeo dyocheilus so as this work will fill up the gap in literature. In this book the study matter comprise several aspects of breeding biology such as maturation biology, factors regulating the spawning, the reproductive capacity, sex ratio, cyto-histological and biochemical changes in the gonads. Present work will be helpful to explore the significance of several scientific aspects of breeding biology as well as conservation of biotic diversity leading to the concept of sustainable development.

The author did his Ph.D. in Zoology and shortly initiates his academic career. His research focuses on biodiversity conservation, ecology of fish biology and limnology. He published more than fifteen blind peer-reviewed indexed research papers in diverse scientific international journals. This is his maiden venture as a book author.
