Sarudzai dared the unknown future in the face of bleakness which became a springboard for an unknown future, a dare many crumble from. Her feet carried her through rural Zimbabwe as she stepped one in front of the other, to or away from one who loved her? Poverty engulfed her speech and yet that became the attraction of many a suitor. What with the unrelenting draught, the casualties where countless, many children lost their childhood and survival became of the fittest whilst the adults watched. Would the God of the white man be the saviour of the whole village or the desperation of others to hold on to an identity that was now doubted?
