The high incidence of poverty in developing countries has been a major concern for policy makers and analysts.Whereas physical and social capital asset holdings are commonly seen as major determinants of farm household poverty, the mechanism through which they impact on poverty are not well known in developing countries even as governments continue to toil to reduce the poverty scourge. This book therefore using empirical evidence establishes the poverty reducing power of physical and social capital asset holdings on farm households. Policy makers, non governmental organizations, students and other researchers will find the book helpful as 2015 United Nations target of halving extreme poverty stares all in the face.
