Eco-tourism means responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people. The concept of eco - tourism introduced in India 1998 then it is growing rapidly for sustainable of tourism sector. India tourism was declared as an industry in the year 1982 by Government of India. After 1991 economic reforms, it attracted many foreign equities invest different sectors, it boosted the tourism sector. The concept eco-tourism introduced in 1998 then it is growing rapidly for sustainable of tourism sector. Eco-tourism was evolved in different number. They are cultural, sports, mass, health, agri, religion, beach, historical monuments, monsoon. We have chosen twin temple cities for our study of eco - tourism, as an today no study has come in this direction. In the developmental process tourism has been identified as the top most labour intensive activity. It provides varieties of employment opportunities directly and indirectly in the destination area. In India, after garments, Gems and jewellery, tourism (third) largest sector generates around 18 million jobs, out of 44 millions.
Dr.SK.Karimulla is presently working as a lecturer in Economics, Govt. Degree College, Kamavarapukota, W.G.Dt.A.P. He has completed M.A.,M.Phil., Ph.D in Economics from Sri Venkateswara University, Andhra Pradesh. He has authored about four edited books and published 10 research papers in reputed national journals.He has life member in IEA and APEA
