Adam Zamoyski, geboren 1949 in New York, wuchs in England auf und studierte Geschichte und Sprachen in Oxford. Seine adlige Familie floh 1939 nach der deutschen und sowjetischen Invasion aus Polen. Er lebt als freier Autor und Historiker in London. Adam Zamoyski ist Fellow der Society of Antiquaries, der Royal Society of Arts und der Royal Society of Literature. Er ist mit der Malerin Emma Sergeant verheiratet.
