Julie Berry wuchs als jüngstes von sieben Kindern auf einer Farm westlich von New York auf. Sie hat einen Abschluss in Kommunikationswissenschaften und einen M.F.A. in ´Writing for children and young adults´ am Vermont College. Seit der Geburt ihres vierten Sohnes widmet sie sich ganz ihrer großen Leidenschaft, dem Schreiben. Julie Berry lebt mit ihrer Familie in Massachusetts.
